As technology advances so do the many features of sewing machines. In the old days, people were happy with a vibrating shuttle. Today, after a myriad of technological upgrades the only thing missing from a computerized sewing machine is the coffee maker.
The sewing machine retail industry is very competitive. That is why sewing machine makers are putting more features in their machines. For example, the Elna 7200, Janome’s 1600, 6600P & 6500P, the Brother nx400, and the Babylock Ellageo all have automatic thread cutters on them.
To find out more about the sewing machines that have automatic thread cutters, just continue to read our article. It puts you on the right path to upgrading your sewing machine and getting the features you want to work with
Convenience seems to be king in the sewing world. The easier it is to reach or use your sewing accessories the better it is for you. Your sewing projects go faster, smoother and you get that professional look almost every time.

This model is a cheaper version of the Bernina sewing machines and is made to be affordable. many people may not have heard of this brand but it is made by Bernina in Thailand.
Besides the thread cutter, this model comes with 394 stitch patterns and creates those stitches at a high rate of 820 spm. The stitch width is 7mm at its largest size and comes with an adjustable presser foot.
Those are not the only features you get with this machine and the touch screen should give you access to the rest of the functions Bernina has built into this sewing machine.
Being competitive also means trying to stay affordable. Janome has packed a lot of features into this model while still trying to keep its price at a rate most people can afford. Included in its overall sewing package are the thread cutter, 120 stitch pattern, a reverse button, and 7 piece dog feed.
The thread cutter is operated by a single button that should be easy to access. Then the speed control is not adjusted by a dial but by a sliding lever. That should be handy to have when your hands are full. A quilting kit is included with your purchase.
Then to stay competitive, a sewing machine manufacturer has to have more than one model of sewing machine with an automatic thread cutter. Janome tries to stay on top with this model even though it only has 60 built-in stitch patterns you can use and only 6 styles of button holes.
With an 820 spm speed, your sewing time should go along much faster. A start-stop button is also a nice function to have. Just remember to push it when you want to get sewing. You would be surprised at how many people forget that little simple step.
